In Greek mythology, nectar is the drink of the gods that bestows youth and immortality. Our name "Eleas Nectar", nectar of the olive tree, is therefore an incentive for us to supply our customers with a product that lives up to this name. By going back to old family traditions and following modern scientific standards, we have succeeded in doing this with our Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Befriended farmers from our organic network supplement our product range with olive products and other Greek specialties.
In all our activities, we combine striving for maximum customer satisfaction with responsibility for the environment and nature.
Fruity and mild but still aromatic and complex - these flavors are created when two types of olives are harmoniously combined.
Between Nafpaktos and Mesolongi, bordered by the Gulf of Patras, the very rare Koutsourelia or Patrinia olive, which is optimally adapted to the specific dry microclimate, and the small, hardy Koroneiki olive thrive on barren soil. The olive oil of the "Koutsourelia" is fine and mild, intensely fruity and spicy, while the Koroneiki is characterized by a mild, fruity aroma.
In a proven tradition, we combine these two varieties and produce this
tasty extra virgin olive oil that enriches every dish, promotes health and contributes to the preservation of an ancient cultural landscape.
The oil of both types is suitable for the preparation of cold dishes as well as for cooking and frying
Our organically certified Kalamon or Kalamata olives meet the highest quality standards. They are fleshy, al dente with a firm skin and significantly larger than the olives used for oil production. Harvested from the tree by hand when fully ripe and marinated in brine, vinegar and olive oil for a few months, they develop their incomparable aroma that enriches every table. #
We deliver the olives in jars as well as in larger containers of 3 or 6 kg.
Our tapenades are made from high-quality, organically certified Kalamon olives. We offer them pure, refined with olive oil and spices or in various flavors typical of the country.
Tapenades are suitable as vegan spreads, as an aperitif and for refining dishes.
Fleur de Sel (Flower of Salt) is handcrafted in our homeland, in the lagoons of Mesolonghi.
It forms as a thin, delicate crust on the surface of salt marshes as seawater evaporates. It is natural, without any additives.
Fleur de Sel has a higher mineral content (manganese, calcium, magnesium, fluorine) and has a milder taste than other salts.
Like our ancestors, we rely on the tradition of growing and harvesting the olives. In addition to the natural conditions such as climate and soil, a high level of labor input and the renunciation of any form of chemical-synthetic pesticides and synthetic fertilizers are the prerequisites for achieving the highest quality standards.
The harvest is mainly done by hand with the help of rakes and pneumatic combs, which make manual harvesting more efficient and yet very gentle. The green olives fall into spread out nets, are cleaned of leaves and twigs and filled into sacks. Then they are taken to the olive mill on the same day, if possible.
In our region, the olives are harvested very early - from the end of October to mid-November - while they are still green. The polyphenol content is very high at this stage, but the oil content is only one third of the ripe fruit. Therefore, excellent olive oils with many valuable ingredients are obtained from the green olives, with a relatively low yield. A hundred kilograms of olives produce around 13 to 15 liters of oil.
Our partner takes over the cold extraction of the olive oil in his modern plant. We deliberately chose this modern method because it produces more aromatic and higher-quality oils than traditional pressing.
In a first step, the freshly harvested olives are cleaned and ground into an olive paste.
They are then pumped into a centrifuge and spun. This separates the fruit water and oil directly, so that all the flavors remain in the oil. The temperature must not exceed 27 degrees during the entire manufacturing process.
Since the contact of the oil with light and oxygen accelerates the aging process, we also ensure that the atmosphere is protected from oxygen and light during production and storage.
The oil is stored in water-cooled steel drums in the absence of oxygen at an optimum temperature of between 13 and 15 °C until bottling.
The filling takes place under strict hygienic conditions in translucent glass bottles or canisters.

The Greek certification body "Iris" regularly checks our production and our facilities and issues us the organic certificate for production, processing and trade in accordance with the EC Organic Regulation.

Western Greece has little industry and no highly developed tourism. With our project we would like to contribute to promoting the sustainable development of the region.
The preservation of rural agriculture in a healthy ecosystem is important to us.
My father, who went to Germany as a student and worked in Brussels for many years, never gave up his love for his homeland and for his village "Trikorfo". On the contrary, he infected my German mother and us children with his enthusiasm.
This is how he came up with the idea of continuing the farming tradition of our ancestors and producing olive oil. We found grateful buyers for this oil, which tastes of sun and home, among our friends and acquaintances and now also among a growing number of customers in Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg. In a wonderful way we can connect our different worlds with each other.
I enjoy being part of the harvest and oil production in Greece every year and I'm proud when friends and acquaintances praise our delicious Greek products. For me, Europe shows itself here in all its richness and diversity.
